I remember at the age of 18, I wanted to get into screenwriting. I knew about Final Draft and how it was industry-standard, but it was $250. I thought that was just the price of admission and it's not like there were many other affordable options out there either. I was too broke to buy Final Draft so I had to ask for it as a Christmas gift. Yay.
I finally get my hands on the software, boot it up on my MacBook, and… Now what? It was like staring at alien technology. An immediate wave of intimidation came over me. “What do I do?” “How does this work?” “There are so many buttons.” It was analysis paralysis. “Well I have to use it. This costs hundreds of dollars.”
So I started doing my own research: Youtube videos, blogs, books, etc. I jotted pages and pages of notes down.
